John P. Chamberlain

John served his country while establishing his career in the law, serving as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. Captain Chamberlain quickly advanced from trial counsel, to Staff Judge Advocate, to Military Judge, presiding over criminal trials. He concluded his military service as Chief of International Law for the 21 st Air Division, coordinating legal matters for the United States involving incidences occurring in Canada, Greenland, and Iceland. In the years following his military service, he shifted his legal focus to estate planning and business law.

He holds a lifetime teaching credential in the areas of law and real estate from the California Community College System, where he taught for several years while in practice. John regularly has lectured, written, and appeared on television addressing business, estate planning, and taxation issues. He was instrumental in moving several pieces of legislation seeking to improve the tax structure in California. He has led and participated in a number of not-for- profit organizations, most notably in the position of Chairman Emeritus of the Orange County Taxpayers Association.

John received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a graduate of the City University of New York at Brooklyn College, earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, where he did work with honors.


Suzanne V. Chamberlain

Beginning her career in the banking and finance industry, Suzanne subsequently went into the practice of law, focusing on litigation and transactional work in the areas of business, employment, and real estate. While she continues to provide business representation and transactional services, she has turned her decades of litigation experience into a basis for the mediation component of her practice. In addition to her private mediation services, Suzanne is a member of the respective mediation panels maintained by various forums, including those of federal and state courts. She frequently writes and speaks to professional and community groups on law-related subjects, and is active in reviewing and commenting upon proposed rules and laws impacting upon such areas as business, the courts, and mediation. She has served in many leadership positions in professional, trade and service organizations, chief among these, the Orange County Bar Association. In 2014, Suzanne was honored by the OCBA with the Harmon G. Scoville Award recognizing one “whose career exemplifies the highest standards of the legal profession and who has significantly contributed to the Orange County Bar Association and championed our constitutional system of justice.”

A third generation Californian, Suzanne received her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Irvine.
